One Flew Away
When I went out today to take pictures of the birds, one baby flew away just before I could snap the picture. He flew from the nest to the tree, and immediately upon arrival, mom & dad flew over to his branch in the big tree. Very sweet. Just two babies left in the nest. As I look at the nest, it's difficult to imagine there being another bird in the nest at all.

Update... About an hour after this post, my mom went out to see the birds. She had been keeping up with their progress via blog and was excited to get to see them for the first time. But when she leaned over the deck rail, she only got to view the empty nest. All of our baby birds have left...she missed getting to see them by just about 30 minutes. Rather symbolic, I thought, that they left home on Mother's Day; the eve of Ben's departure for his new life adventure in San Antonio, Texas.
